Announcing Keynote Speakers from Walmart and Glossier at CommerceNext 2019

CommerceNext 2019 is less than 90 days away! Today, we’re excited to announce two more keynotes for this year’s ecommerce conference: Denise Incandela, SVP and Group General Manager of Fashion for Walmart ecommerce, and Ali Weiss, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Glossier.

Denise incandelaIncandela is a visionary retail executive who has delivered growth and transformation for brands and specialty retailers for over 20 years. An expert in brand building, retail, digital and marketing, she has a proven track record of exceeding revenue and profit targets, positioning businesses as market-leading performers, and achieving award-winning results.

Currently, Incandela is the SVP and Group General Manager of Fashion for Walmart ecommerce. In this role, she is responsible for transforming fashion across Walmart’s U.S. ecommerce platforms, including Walmart.com, Jet.com, Shoes.com, and BareNecessities.com. To provide customers a truly transformative ecommerce offering, Incandela overhauled the entire shopping experience, materially expanding the product assortment, driving key strategic retail partnerships and acquisitions, and launching high-profile exclusive brands such as EV1 by Ellen DeGeneres, Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara, and TEXTILE.

Before joining Walmart, Incandela was President of Global Digital and CIEM for the Ralph Lauren Corporation, where she transformed its internal digital capabilities, including the turnaround of its global ecommerce business and the creation of global digital centers of excellence.

Previously, she was EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of Saks Fifth Avenue where she oversaw Marketing and Digital. Incandela launched the award-winning saks.com and saksoff5th.com businesses and built them from the ground up to be a $1 billion+ destination for online high-end fashion. Prior to Saks Fifth Avenue, she worked at McKinsey & Company, where she played a key part in leading its retail practice.

 

Ali WeissWeiss is currently the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Glossier—a modern, digitally-native beauty brand. Glossier is curated by editors who prioritize both fashion and function so as to give their customers exactly what they’re asking for, and what they need in real life. Weiss is passionate about the little things in life that make the everyday grind easier and more enjoyable. As a woman who lives and works in New York City, she believes in building a beauty brand through conversations, community and peer-to-peer referrals that illuminate what real women need.

Glossier has been recognized as a top beauty brand by Allure, Teen Vogue, Glamour, Nylon, Women’s Wear Daily and Cosmopolitan and was included as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2017 and Top 10 Most Innovative Social Media Brands. The company also received Women Wear Daily Beauty Inc.’s 2015 Digital Innovator of the Year award, was nominated as an Inc Company of the Year in 2017, and is on the 2017 Recode 100 list.

Prior to Glossier, Weiss worked at BlackRock in financial institutions account management, corporate strategy and as the chief of staff to the Head of iShares.
