Mike Lackman is the CEO of Trade Coffee, a technology business that is combining innovations in design, subscription commerce, and data science in order to connect consumers with the country’s best coffee roasters. Since shipping its first box in April of 2018, Trade has made massive strides in realizing its mission of ‘Turning Coffee Drinkers Into Coffee Lovers’, as its roasted-on-demand experience opens the eyes of thousands of customers to the world of specialty coffee every morning.
Prior to Trade, Mike was the CEO and majority owner at PetFlow, where he and his team built a rapidly growing and profitable retailer that successfully exited to the country’s largest distributor of pet products in 2017. A strategy and operations expert, Mike is widely regarded within the e-commerce community as a leader in driving profitable growth and building exceptional teams. He is a frequent speaker on the subject, including engagements at Shop.org, the National Retail Federation, the Wharton School, and as the keynote of Australia’s Online Retailer conference in 2014. He has held numerous Operations Leadership roles, including the Operations team at UncommonGoods as well as the management development program at McMaster-Carr. Mike is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Latin, Ancient Greek, and Italian.
