On Day two of this year’s ecommerce conference, Micky Onvural (CEO, Bonobos), Ben Harrell (CMO, Priceline), and Kieran Luke (GM Credentials, General Assembly/GA) break it all down in their session, “The Ingredients of a Successful Marketing Team.”
Why this panel topic?
These ecommerce marketing leaders see team curation as both an art and a science. When starting from scratch, it’s critical to understand the vital skills and components that a modern marketing team requires. Just as important, leaders have to anticipate and adapt to the needs of an evolving marketing organization as a company grows. Given the multitude of challenges digital marketers face—driving growth, personalizing experiences, optimizing budgets, building lasting brands—what’s the only way to get it all done?
What will this panel teach me?
Moderated by Kieran Luke, the panelists will discuss how standards can help leaders set expectations individually and across the entire team, and subsequently, install tools around those expectations that ensure success. Luke will gently guide the discussion based on the work of General Assembly’s Standards Board. Comprised of marketing mavens like Booz Allen Hamilton, L’Oréal and Nielsen, GA’s Board established a set of standards to help define the skill requirements across the in-demand fields of data science and digital marketing. The results of using GA’s standards are widespread, long-lasting and imperative to team success. Find out how this team building methodology clarifies career pathways, streamlines hiring practices and guides strategic development for employees and teams.
